About Hilary MacKenzie
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for the Federal Government for many years. Following some life-changing experiences, I was inspired to return to school, & change my career. I graduated with distinction with a BA in Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island, followed by an MSW from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers, & a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
I believe in being client centred, and collaborative. Each person is an individual, with unique issues & strengths, & therefore my approach is geared to your specific needs. I can help with a broad spectrum of both mental health issues, & situational problems, & specialise in emotional eating, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, stress management, & self-esteem, among others.
I sometimes bring my dog to the office to meet clients, as some people feel more comfortable with an animal presence.
